About Play Herald

Play Herald is an English-language publication about video games and the hardware people play them on. We cover PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and mobile: news, guides, release dates and head-to-head comparisons.

What we publish

How we work

Every article is built from the reporting of established outlets covering the same story, and it states only what those sources state. We do not add background from memory, we do not guess release dates, and we do not invent studios, prices or player numbers. Where sources disagree, we say so instead of picking the more exciting version.

Our reference pages — release-date rundowns, guides and comparisons — are revisited as new facts come in, so a page that says a date is unconfirmed will say the opposite once it is announced.

Play Herald is produced by a small operation using an automated editorial pipeline with human oversight. We think readers deserve to know that. It is also why the rules above are enforced mechanically on every article before it is published: sources are checked, unsupported studio names and stale dates are rejected, and overlap with the original reporting is measured.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, tell us and we will fix it. Write to [email protected] with a link to the page and what is incorrect. Corrections are made to the article itself, at the same address, so anyone who lands on the page later sees the corrected version.

Advertising and partners

Some pages carry advertising or links to partner services, and those links are marked. Commercial relationships never decide what we cover or what we say about it. See our Disclaimer for details.
